Abstract
We present optical identifications on the Palomar Observatory Sky Surv ey prints and long-slit CCD spectroscopy of 20 selected radio sources from the B3VLA subset of the third Bologna survey (B3). Most of the ne w identifications are low-redshift absorption-line galaxies, but some are more optically active objects, ranging in redshift from 0.033 to 1 .051. Three sources are identified as quasars, and two show featureles s continua and may be BL Lac objects. Four additional sources were fou nd to be misidentified with foreground stars.
