A. Chelli et al., NEAR-INFRARED OBSERVATIONS OF SOUTHERN YOUNG MULTIPLE SYSTEMS, Astronomy & Astrophysics. Supplement series, 114(1), 1995, pp. 135-142
We report observational results from near infrared slit scanning of 16
southern pre-main sequence multiple sources. For each system, we deri
ve the angular separation and the magnitude difference in the J, H, K
and in most cases L bands. Two systems (Sz 30 and LkH alpha 346) are f
ound to be triple and four (Herschel 4636, LkH alpha 346, RNO 92 and V
V CrA) exhibit a flux inversion among the components between 0.55 and
3.61 mu m, that is, the secondary as defined in the visual begins to d
ominate the system light at infrared wavelengths.
