MEANING AND PURPOSE OF PROFICIENCY TESTIN GS

The final results of the first proficiency testing of analytical labor atories organized by the German Society for Fat Science (DGF) demonstr ate that interlaboratory tests are necessary to control the quality as surance system of a laboratory. Because of its competence and independ ence DGF is predominated to organize and execute such tests for the ce rtification of a laboratory without any commercial interests. Based on the international harmonized protocol for proficiency testing a new e valuation system was developed which allows to compare the efficiencie s among the laboratories according to the analytical practice.
