Abstract
The biased ligand cis-cis-2,4,6-trimethyl-1,3,5-triaminocyclohexane is weakly basic and may be converted into di- and tri-basic complexing a gents bearing hydyoxyphenyl, carboxylate or phosphinate groups; an unu sual tricyclic bis-aminal intermediate hydrolyses in acidic media to y ield a stable bicyclic amidine via an intramolecular hydride transfer mechanism.
