M. Repcak et P. Martonfi, THE VARIABILITY PATTERN OF APIGENIN GLUCOSIDES IN CHAMOMILLA-RECUTITADIPLOID AND TETRAPLOID CULTIVARS, Die Pharmazie, 50(10), 1995, pp. 696-699
Apigenin glucosides in diploid and tetraploid Chamomilla recutita have
been investigated by HPLC. Polyploidization of Chamomilla recutita pl
ants raised the dry mass of anthodia, ligulate flowers dry mass in the
anthodium, the dry mass of single ligulate flowers and the total apig
enin aglycone content in ligulate flowers and anthodia, as well. The m
ass percentage and the number of ligulate flowers in anthodium were no
t influenced. From two cluster analyses and principal component analys
is of individual plants in diploid and tetraploid sets one can conclud
e that the dry mass of anthodium, ligulate flowers dry mass in anthodi
um and total apigenin aglycone content in 100 anthodia are the most im
portant character values. Comparison of diploid and tetraploid cultiva
rs shows that the diploid cultivar is more homogenous that the tetrapl
oid one.
