The electric dipole (E1) transitions between the levels of the 1s(2)2s
(2)2p4, 1s(2)2s2p5 and 1s(2)2p6 configurations have been considered in
the oxygen isoelectronic sequence. The second-order stationary pertur
bation theory of the effective Hamiltonian has been adopted. Relativis
tic corrections were included in the Breit-Pauli approximation. E1 tra
nsition energies, line strengths, oscillator strengths, probabilities
and lifetimes obtained in various approximations are compared with exp
erimental values and with results of other theoretical calculations fo
