Abstract
A time-of-flight mass spectrometer has been developed using a reflectr on in which the voltages placed on the lens elements correspond to a f unction describing the are of a circle. This curved-field reflectron e nables acquisition of focused product-ion mass spectra at a single ref lectron voltage, In this paper, we present results from this instrumen t for the amino acid sequencing of several peptides and describe the m ethod of mass calibration.
