Abstract
We present some analytical formulae for the radiation emitted by a rel ativistic charged particle moving in a curved spiral trajectory. This, newly considered, mechanism can in general differ significantly from conventional synchrotron and curvature radiation mechanisms. Polarizat ion measurements may prove to be a good method to differentiate this m echanism from the other two mechanisms.
