Abstract
We describe the first case of prosthetic valve endocarditis due to a S treptomyces sp. The patient presented with fever, cutaneous embolic le sions, and bacteremia 3 months after aortic valve replacement. Treatme nt required valve replacement and a long course of parenteral imipenem .
