Abstract
The results of studies on new column packings to be applied in gas chr omatography are presented in the paper. These packings contain nickel( II) and cobalt(II) acetylacetonates (acac) and hexafluoroacetylacetona tes (hfac) bound to silica surface via beta-diketonate group. The pack ings under study revealed ability to interact specifically with ethers and thioethers. Some examples of separation were given, showing that the packings may be applied in chromatographic analysis, of these two group of compounds.
