An experiment was conducted during the winter season of 1992-93 and 19
93-94 to study stability in 12 promising genotypes ('RI 49', 'RI 87','
RI 88', 'RI 89', 'MSB 2', 'MSB 4', 'MSB 6', 'MSB 8', 'Sel 10', 'GI 2',
'HI 2' and 'HI 5') of blond psyllium (Plantago ovata Forsskal) under
4 different environments. Variance due to genotypes, environments, gen
otypes x environment interaction and its linear and non-linear compone
nts were found significant for spikes/plant and seed yield. The genoty
pes 'RI 89' and 'GI 2' had high mean, regression coefficient around 1
and non-significant deviation from regression for seed yield. These ge
notypes were found suitable in different agroclimatic conditions of Ma
ndor and Udaipur in Rajasthan.
