Abstract
The advantages and disadvantages of inactivated and modified-live viru s vaccines for bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) are addressed. Some current vaccination practices and guidelines for use of vaccines are d iscussed. Recent advances in knowledge of the virus, coupled with new approaches in vaccine construction, are Likely to soon result in new v accines.
