Abstract
The authors compare the performance of exothermic gas and wet and dry nitrogen / hydrogen atmospheres for the annealing of extra-low-carbon and ultra-low-carbon electrical steels. Results are assessed on the ba sis of decarburisation, permeability, core loss, grain size, and subsu rface oxidation.
