Rr. Judd et al., EFFECT AND IMPORTANCE OF CONTROLLED ANNEALING ATMOSPHERE ON MAGNETIC-PROPERTIES OF LAMINATION STEELS, Heat treatment of metals, 22(4), 1995, pp. 83-88
The authors compare the performance of exothermic gas and wet and dry
nitrogen / hydrogen atmospheres for the annealing of extra-low-carbon
and ultra-low-carbon electrical steels. Results are assessed on the ba
sis of decarburisation, permeability, core loss, grain size, and subsu
rface oxidation.
