A series of alkylene amine phenols including En(AP)(2), Pn(AP)(2), DmP
n(AP)(2), Bn(AP)(2), and Pent(AP)(2), were synthesized and complexatio
ns of the amine phenols with a trace-level (TcO4-)-Tc-99m were underta
ken in the presence of Sn2+. The Tc-99m-amine phenol complexes obtaine
d were characterized simultaneously by solvent extraction, TLC, electr
ophoresis and HPLC. The labeling yield, neutrality, lipophilicity and
stability of the Tc-99m-amine phenol complexes were sufficiently inves
tigated. The chemical behaviors of the complexes of no-carrier-added T
c-99m with the amine phenols found in observed study are related to th
e lengths of hydrocarbon backbones of the ligands.
