Abstract
High-density lipoprotein (HDL) of 100-400 mu g/ml did not prevent morp hological alterations of human blood platelets treated with serotonin (1-5 mu M) Highly concentrated HDL (1,200 mu g/ml) appeared to activat e platelets in vitro. These findings indicate that whole HDL may not i nhibit agonist-induced platelet activation. (C) 1995 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
