Abstract
There has been a distinct evolution in the treatment philosophy for pa tients with bilateral Wilms tumor (BWT), with preoperative chemotherap y to preserve kidney tissue replacing initial attempts at radical surg ery Despite such advances, renal insufficiency in children with synchr onous BWT and the standardization of the management of such children a re still concerns which need to be addressed.
