Abstract
HRuCo3(CO)11PMe2Ph reacts with AuPPh3Cl giving a substitution product, i-phenylphosphine-5kappaP-tricobaltgoldruthenium(3 Au-Co)(3 Co-Co)(3 Co-Ru), where the [AuPPh3]+ moiety shields the basal Co3 face. The PMe 2Ph ligand changes coordination from an axial site of the basal Co3 pl ane to the apical Ru atom.
