Tris(5-acetyl-3-thienyl)methane forms an inclusion compound with CCl4
in a host-guest ratio of 2:1, 2C19H16O3S3.CCl4, which crystallizes in
a P1BAR triclinic unit cell. Molecular packing in the crystals produce
s a channel-type cavity in which the CCl4 molecules are located in two
orientationally disordered positions with 65 and 35% occupation.
