G. Sim et al., COMPARISON OF DRY WEAR CHARACTERISTICS OF 2 ABRASION-RESISTANT STEELS- Q T C1095 AND 15B37H/, Journal of materials engineering and performance, 4(5), 1995, pp. 558-562
The dry reciprocating wear characteristics of two abrasion-resistant s
teels, C1095 and 15B37H, against an abrasive material were studied. Re
sults showed that abrasive wear and surface fatigue were the primary w
ear mechanisms. The wear failure of the steels was related to friction
al softening during wear.
