M. Kovac et J. Zel, THE EFFECT OF ALUMINUM ON CYTOKININS IN THE MYCELIA OF AMANITA-MUSCARIA, Journal of plant growth regulation, 14(3), 1995, pp. 117-120
High performance liquid chromatography analysis of immunoaffinity-puri
fied extracts of mycelia of Amanita muscaria, and the Amaranthus bioas
say of the eluted fractions, revealed the following seven cytokinins:
zeatin, zeatin riboside, zeatin N-9-glucoside, dihydrozeatin, dihydroz
eatin riboside, isopentenyl adenine, and isopentenyl adenosine, The de
creased growth of aluminum-treated mycelia correlated with a 35% decre
ase in the total amount of the cytokinins, Among individual cytokinins
, zeatin was the most affected, exhibiting a reduction of about 90%. T
he results are compared with previous investigations of aluminum effec
ts on cytokinins in the mycelia of Lactarius piperatus, whose growth i
s stimulated by aluminum.
