Jk. Yang et Al. Swindlehurst, THE EFFECTS OF ARRAY CALIBRATION ERRORS ON DF-BASED SIGNAL COPY PERFORMANCE, IEEE transactions on signal processing, 43(11), 1995, pp. 2724-2732
This paper studies the effect of array calibration errors on the perfo
rmance of various direction finding (DF) based signal copy algorithms,
Unlike blind copy methods, this class of algorithms requires an estim
ate of the directions of arrival (DOA's) of the signals in order to co
mpute the copy weight vectors, Under the assumption that the observati
on time is sufficiently long, the following algorithms are studied: cl
assical beamforming, least squares, total least squares, linearly cons
trained minimum variance beamforming, and structured stochastic estima
tion, Expressions for the mean-square error of the signal estimates ar
e derived as a function of the calibration errors for both the case wh
ere the DOA's are known precisely and for the case where the DOA's mus
t be estimated.
