Abstract
The algorithm proposed for alignment of biopolymer sequences is based on search for and inclusion of regions with statistically significant similarity in the aligned pair. It is implemented in a PC program for multiple sequence alignment over a given similarity tree, which yields high-quality results in a short time and with low RAM requirements.
