Abstract
The demand for multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLC) of smaller size and higher volumetric capacitance is increasing sharply. The electrical p roperties of multilayer high-dielectric-constant relaxer ceramic capac itors of dielectric thickness from 3 to 32 mu m were measured. MLC (1. 0 mu F) conforming to Y5V temperature characteristics were produced in EIA 0402 size (1.0 x 0.5(2) mm). The dielectric constant and ac volta ge dependence of change in capacitance were found to change with decre asing dielectric thickness.
