Abstract
Excess volumes of each of six methyl esters (from pentanoate to pentad ecanoate) with each of five odd n-alkanes (from pentane to tridecane) have been obtained at the temperature 298.15 K using a vibrating-tube densimeter. The V-m(E) values were positive for the mixtures containin g the heavier hydrocarbons and the slighter esters and negative in the other cases. The results for V-m(E) are compared with those obtained using several theoretical models; however the estimations were not goo d. (C) 1995 Academic Press Limited
