Ja. Chamizo et al., SYNTHESIS AND STRUCTURAL CHARACTERIZATION OF TRICARBONYL BIS[DI(N,N''-ALLYLAMINO)CARBENE]CHROMIUM AND TUNGSTEN(O) COMPLEXES, Transition metal chemistry, 20(5), 1995, pp. 508-510
The reaction in situ of [M(CO)(6)] (M = Cr or W), 1,2-bis(N-allylamino
)ethane and CH(NMe(2))(OMe)(2) has resulted in the isolation of chelat
ed metal carbene compounds in low yield. A [3,3] amino-Claisen rearran
gement of a transient allyl electron-rich olefin, the organic precurso
r of the carbenes, appears to be the principal product. A single cryst
al X-ray diffraction study has shown that the tungsten complex has sim
ilar structural parameters to a molybdenum-carbene previously communic
ated. Detailed characterization of family six (G, No, W) chelated carb
ene compounds has been completed.
