Abstract
Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT) is a well-established mark er of immature hematopoietic cells which is widely used for the diagno sis and characterization of acute leukemias and lymphoid neoplasms. In this review we describe the biology and histopathology of TdT, includ ing a critical discussion of the clinical applications and the various technical approaches for analyzing different pathologic samples.
