Abstract
Thymolipoma is a rare tumor composed of both adipose and mature thymic elements which may grow to very large sizes before becoming symptomat ic. Since thymolipomas are benign tumors and do not invade adjacent st ructures, a plane of dissection can readily be developed during surgic al resection. We report a large tumor involving both thoracic cavities which was successfully excised from a left thoracotomy incision with preservation of adjacent nerves and blood vessels.
