Abstract
A new technique of heminephrectomy by splitting the dysplastic pole in the longitudinal plane and stripping the mucosa from the pelvis and c alyces using diathermy is described. By the use of this technique, ina dvertent opening of the calyces of the normal hemikidney is avoided an d bleeding is substantially reduced.
