Abstract
Ligand-receptor recognition has been studied in a molecularly imprinte d polymer (MIP) prepared against N-Ac-L-Phe-L-Trp-OMe. The non-ionic n on-covalent interaction based recognition was evaluated using the poly mers as chiral HPLC stationary phases. Marked regio-, enantio- and dia stereo- ligand selectivity were demonstrated with enantiomer separatio n Factors of up to 17.8. The interaction of a series of related struct ures with the MIP receptor site has provided insight concerning its na ture and the recognition mechanisms.
