The aim of this Note is to make precise the relationship between the f
orm of the pressure law in the Euler equations with thermochemical non
-equilibrium and the Lax entropies. We prove that in space dimension 1
, there exist Lax entropies not of the form (S. u S) for a special cla
ss of pressure laws. Finally we obtain in the general case the equival
ence of all Lax entropries for piecewise C1 solutions of the equations
