Abstract
Pyrroles annulated with polycyclic aromatic compounds, which are expec ted to be good precursor molecules for low band gap polymers, are prep ared by the reaction of aromatic nitro compounds with ethyl isocyanoac etate and the subsequent deethoxycarbonylation.
