NON-EXTENSIVE THERMOSTATISTICS - BRIEF REVIEW AND COMMENTS

We briefly review, with regard to physical applications, the present s tatus of the recently introduced non-extensive thermostatistics charac terized by the entropic index q (q = 1 corresponds to standard, extens ive, Boltzmann-Gibbs thermostatistics). In addition to that, we commen t on (i) how meta-equilibrium-equilibrium crossovers may occur as a fu nction of time, (ii) spin glasses and the replica trick, and (iii) the theory of perceptions.
