Abstract
We study thermal-shock-induce fragmentation of soda glass plates. The
total length of cracks and the characteristics of the fracture pattern
s are investigated both in direct and Fourier space. The relevance of
the fractal concept to the problem is discussed. The obtained experime
ntal results are explained considering a simple theoretical model.
