Abstract
Multi-dimensional models of flow processes in bioreactors are presente d. Particular emphasis is given to models that use the two-fluid techn ique. The models use a two-equation turbulence model and a Monod type kinetic reaction model. Predictions are given for both bubble column a nd mechanically stirred reactors.
