Ss. Tambe et al., DIFFUSIVE BROADENING OF LIMIT-CYCLE IN PRESENCE OF NOISE - A CASE-STUDY OF REVERSIBLE BRUSSELATOR, Mathematics and computers in simulation, 39(1-2), 1995, pp. 115-124
This paper reports the effects of an external white noise on a reversi
ble Brusselator reaction scheme exhibiting oscillatory behavior. The g
overning equations are resolved into respective tangential and normal
components along the limit cycle, and using rotating coordinate transf
ormations we have studied the effects of noise in these directions sep
arately. The results indicate diffusive broadening of limit cycle in p
resence of noise in certain regions in phase space.
