Abstract
Purpose: To present a case of improvement of ocular motility in a pati ent with chronic progressive external ophthalmoplegia (CPEO) with Coen zyme Q(10). Methods: Coenzyme Q(10) 300 mg daily was given for three y ears with a three-day trial period of 200 mg daily after one year. Ocu lar ductions were measured by synoptophore. Results: Ocular ductions i mproved with treatment with Coenzyme Q(10). Conclusion: Coenzyme Q(10) , is effective in limiting the severity of ophthalmoplegia in this cas e.
