J. Miquel et al., A SCANNING ELECTRON-MICROSCOPE STUDY OF SOME RICTULARIIDAE (NEMATODA)PARASITES OF IBERIAN MAMMALS, Helminthologia, 32(1-2), 1995, pp. 3-14
Morphological study of three species from the Rictulariidae family bel
onging to the Rictularia genus-R. proni Seurat, 1915 - and to the Pter
ygodermatites genus - P. affinis (Jagerskioald, 1904) and P. leiperi (
Ortlepp, 1961), isolated from the intestine of four hosts species from
the Iberian Peninsula: the field mouse, Apodemus sylvaticus Linnaeus,
1758 (Muridae) (Rodentia); the red fox, Vulpes vulpes (Linnaeus, 1758
) (Canidae); the stone marten, Martes foina (Erxleben, 1777) (Mustelid
e) and the genet, Genetta genetta (Linnaeus, 1758) (Viverridae) (Carni
vora). The description of the three species is supported by a morphome
tric and a morphological analysis by means of scanning electron micros
copy (SEM).
