Abstract
To improve the performance of sand concrete (essentially constituted o f sand and cement). various components (polymers, fillers) are added l eading to strengthening of the contact zone between the matrix (hydrat es) and sand grains. A process of manufacture of thin sand concrete pl ates is reported, using suitable additives, and providing a good cost/ strength ratio. The material shows very good resistance in traction.
