Abstract
The effect of replacing 100, 200 or 300 g of maize with ground mango k ernels kg(-1) diet in the starter diet on growth performance was studi ed in a 4-week experiment using 144 unsexed day-old Tropic Bro broiler chicks. The results showed that ground mango kernels could be used to replaced up to 200 g of maize kg(-1) without significantly (P < 0.01) affecting the body weight gain, while the replacement of more than 10 0 g maize kg(-1) significantly (P < 0.01) depressed feed consumption. There was no significant difference between treatments for feed conver sion efficiency.
