Abstract
The paper deals with the cellular convection resulting from the parall el mass transfer of two components. It is shown that the case analysed cannot be regarded as fully equivalent to that of the simultaneous ma ss and heat transport due to the effect of the phenomena occurring in the Gibbs dividing layer.
