Abstract
The influence of a magnetic field on the emission of the H-beta line i n a T-tube plasma was investigated. Applied magnetic fields were 0.5 T and 2.1 T. The H-beta line profiles recorded under the same condition s in the presence and in the absence of the magnetic field were compar ed. We observed a small red-shift of the lines emitted along the magne tic field lines. A qualitative explanation of this effect is given.
