Abstract
Continuous dependence on the initial-time geometry is derived for the solution of a parabolic equation from dynamo theory. Both the forward in time and the improperly posed backward in time problems are conside red. For the former case, explicit continuous dependence inequalities are obtained while in the latter similar results are established provi ded solutions satisfy the appropriate constraints.
