DIRECTIVITY - THE CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL CONSTRUCTION OF MORALITY AND AGENCY - SOME QUESTIONS ARISING FROM THE LEGACY OF VYGOTSKY

A short review of mainstream psychology's reductionisms that the Vygot skian approach tries to avoid and an overview of central concepts for understanding directivity are offered. Finally, a study in progress on the cultural-psychological organization of emotions-narratives, cultu ral-psychological tools and devices-for directing human behavior in Ca stile is offered as a meeting point between psychology, anthropology, and education.
