Abstract
A first-derivative spectrophotometric method is described for the simu ltaneous determination of Ru(III) and Rh(III) using octadecyl dithioca rbamate. The complexes are insoluble in water, but easily extractable into chloroform. Quantitative determination of Ru(III) and Rh(III) is possible in the ranges 0.5-6.0 mu g ml(-1) and 1.0-10.0 mu g ml(-1) re spectively, with a standard deviation of +/-0.10. A statistical evalua tion of the experimental results is reported.
