Abstract
We present a simple model for fermion mass matrices and quark mixing i n the context of supersymmetric grand unified theories and show its ag reement with experiment. Our model realizes the GUT mass relations m(d ) = 3m(e), m(s) = m(mu)/3, m(b) = m(tau) in a new way and is easily co nsistent with values of m(t) suggested by MSSM fits to CERN LEP data.
