A theoretical study is made of linear acoustic and internal gravity wa
ves (AGW) in an isothermal atmosphere with an exponential distribution
of equilibrium density and pressure. The model of the atmosphere unde
r consideration includes viscosity and heat conduction whose kinematic
values grow exponentially with height. Two cases are analyzed: a heat
conducting atmosphere without viscosity and an atmosphere with viscos
ity small in respect to heat conductivity. In the first case an accura
te solution is obtained which describes the whole class of monochromat
ic oscillations for layered model satisfying the boundary conditions.
An analytical expression is found for the AGW reflection coefficient f
rom a region with large heat conduction. In the second case a similar
problem is solved approximately.
