Abstract
The classification of heterophase systems from the point of view of th eir microstructure, and of physical properties from the point of view of their structure sensitivity are considered. The principal methods f ar evaluating the properties of statistically homogeneous and isotropi c systems are described. A number of simple methods for calculating th e parameters of the microstructures obtained by varying the pressing, sintering, and metal forming schedules of dispersed systems with vario us particle morphologies are discussed.
