Abstract
Photoabsorption cross sections of carbon tetrachloride have been measu red in the spectral region 186-240 nm for temperatures ranging from 22 0 to 300 K at an interval of 20 K. These measurements have been carrie d out with an accuracy of +/-4.1% at an instrumental resolution of 0.1 nm. The cross sections obtained in the present experiment have been c ompared with other measurements where ever possible.
