Abstract
Large flexible bags with capacities of up to 1.5 t are the principal m eans of exporting oil well cements at Dyckerhoff AG's Lengerich cement works. The so-called Big Bags are filled in a modern twin-spout syste m in which the bags are weighed while suspended. A coarse and fine flo w control system is achieved by special flat slide valves. Up to 1200 t cement can be bagged per day in three-shift operation, which gives s ubstantially greater flexibility when compared with normal bagging in paper bags.
