Abstract
The observational data on the ice melting in the Polar ocean are summa rized. The estimates of melted water inflow into the sub-ice layer are made. A new method for ice melting intensity calculation is suggested . The structure of ice fields, as well as ice concentration and destru ction degree are taken into account in this method.
